A celebration of the Imagination
for children from ages 1 to 100...
‘A SHOW ABOUT NOTHING’ (known in South Africa as ‘A Summer Dream’) is a joyous, surreal, outdoor performance for children from 1 to 100 years old, that celebrates the Imagination and all things wonderful. It tells a simple tale of a village not far from where anyone lives, where people keep their Imagination locked away in order to focus on Very Serious Things. Everything changes one evening when the Imagination breaks free… With a minimum of text and a wealth of enchanting images, the show is accessible to a very wide audience.

A SHOW ABOUT NOTHING is performed by a troupe of 12 clowns and dancers, accompanied by Capetonian singer-composer Jak Tomas and 2 musicians playing his gorgeous songs. We could bring the whole company to your festival, or else we could make a version in your town with local performers in a lovely outdoor environment.
‘A Summer Dream’ is performed outdoors in a beautiful natural amphitheatre at Spier, where we are based, each December.
